A fisherman’s story on the quality and sustainability of North Sea haddock
The Scottish White Fish Producers’ Association (SWFPA) has launched a new video that focuses on the role of our fishermen in sustainably harvesting fish.
The video ‘Sea to Plate – the Fisherman’ features an interview with Peter Bruce, skipper of the Budding Rose, immediately after he had landed 400 boxes of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified haddock.

A new video charting the journey of North Sea haddock from sea to plate has been produced by the Scottish Whitefish Producers’ Association (SWFPA) to highlight the sustainability of the fishery and the high quality of the catch.
The SWFPA, which is a constituent member of the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation, produced the video – ‘Sea to Plate’ – to explain to consumers how Scottish haddock is caught, landed, processed and delivered to the end customer.
